In 2021, the new van market grew by a fifth as Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) registrations saw an increase of over 21% compared to the previous year. Data published online by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) shows a total of 355,380 new LCV registrations were made in the UK. 

Demand for electric vans more than doubled in 2021 when a record 12,759 battery-electric vans were also registered, heralding a shift towards a greener future of travel in the LCV market.
